How to Choose a DJ?
Quality Entertainment since 1993

A good DJ is the insurance policy that all the other money you spend on the event will turn into beautiful memories

When planning a party of any kind, the goal is to make sure that you and your guests have a great time. Your choices in this regard are crucial, especially when choosing a DJ. Selecting a DJ to handle your party can be a difficult undertaking, especially because of the things you look for and the things you should avoid:

Communicativeness. Is he a communicative type? It's hard to believe that an uncommunicative person will successfully handle your party. It's best to ask him out on a date. Do you like the person you're talking to? Nothing can be more unpleasant than associating with someone you dislike or with whom you can't communicate. When the business is entertainment, things get dramatic. Choosing a person you can easily relate to is the most important factor in selecting the right entertainer for your event. Don't think that their services are only valid for that particular evening anyway. Not everyone will know how to properly respond to the discussions and requests of your guests. You want the best, don't you? Does the DJ know the type of event you're having?

There are many types of DJs: Club, Wedding, Radio, Disco and the list goes on, just like there are amateur DJs. Is the DJ you met able to handle the type of event you are proposing, or will he just mix the songs that will demonstrate what an artist he is in mixing beats. Or will he be interested in imposing his musical tastes on those present? If he likes manele, what do you do? Ask him how many events he has done and what kind. The DJ you choose should be very open about what he can do for you, and he will have to volunteer information that comes from his experience at such events. Does he have a list of available music? You should make sure that the DJ has a varied and comprehensive music library. In other words, that he will be able to successfully cover the tastes or requests of your guests.

Is his equipment professional or home-made? Most professional DJs prefer digital music (CDs or computer-generated) for the best reproduction quality. Professional equipment for reproducing sound in clubs or large venues is always quite expensive, and therefore not affordable for everyone. The price justifies its reliability and quality. An amateur will try to save money when purchasing equipment at the expense of quality. The recommendation is to trust prestigious brands, given the invasion of cheap equipment that at a quarter of the price clones professional equipment but not the quality. Is the person you met the same as the DJ who will be at your event? This is a fairly frequent complaint related to this activity. Namely, that the person you met is not the DJ who will be hosting your event. Many times you are not warned about this aspect. Ask the DJ you are meeting if he will be at your event, or someone else. You need to know this before you reach an agreement, especially so that you don't have the unpleasant surprise of meeting a non-professional with amateur equipment. I'm sure you don't want to compromise the success of your party like this. Even if your event is insured by an agency, it is almost mandatory to meet the DJ beforehand! What if at the event, although he was recommended to you as the best, a bored individual shows up who can't wait to finish his work?
The price of a DJ. Is the price too good to be true, or are you looking for a bargain? It seems that DJing is often the last service chosen, after most of the budget has been spent on the venue, food and clothing, the final amount being quite impressive. This leads some to choose the cheapest offer possible. However, if you adhere to the principles described above, you will know how to avoid poor quality service offers, because these people will not be able to provide the information and attention to detail that any client deserves

You should consider the services of a DJ as an insurance policy that all the other money you spend on the event will not turn into unpleasant memories or an opportunity to be in a bad mood. You will get what you paid for. However, many people still pay more for a cake, flowers or food, than they would for the most important ingredient of a party, MUSIC. When was the last time you noticed that thanks to the cake, people felt really good and danced until dawn? Or when thanks to the floral arrangements, the fun atmosphere of the party was created? Or more importantly, when was the last time you heard a guest say “Oh my God, the appetizers were fantastic. I can’t wait for the next party where I can find such sensational appetizers”! THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN. But the talk will be about the entire event, the music and especially about how the DJ created the right atmosphere and how the entire party danced. The atmosphere is always a topic of discussion, and the conclusion will be whether it was good or not. And you know clearly who makes these come true
